Cheer Coach Charged With Sexual Assault Of Teen

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (Aurora Beacon-News) ― A 25-year-old St. Charles cheerleading coach has been charged with having a romantic sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl.

According to St. Charles police, Christopher Frum of northwest suburban Deer Park, met the girl while employed at Cheer Alliance in St. Charles. On Monday, he was charged with three counts of criminal sexual assault, police said.

Kildeer police and the Lake County State's Attorney's office handled the investigation and authorized charges Monday, St. Charles police said.

After his arrest, Frum was transported to the Lake County Jail in Waukegan, where he was held on $250,000 bond. His first court date has been set for June 19 in Waukegan. The Kildeer Police Department is the primary investigative agency and has jurisdiction, St. Charles police said.

Cheer Alliance could not immediately be reached for comment.
