Drew Peterson Will Not Get His Guns Back

Judge Also Ruled In Separate Case That Kathleen Savio's Family Can Re-Open Her Estate

CHICAGO (CBS) ― Drew Peterson will likely not be getting his guns back anytime soon.

A judge ruled Thursday the state could continue to hold on to 11 weapons seized by police after his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, disappeared.

Peterson had his firearms owner identification card revoked -- but had hoped to give the guns to his son Steven, who is an Oak Brook police officer.

Also, in probate court, the family of Peterson's third wife, Kathleen Savio, was allowed to re-open her estate and name her sister and father as co-executors of the estate.

That is a necessary first step should Savio's family decide to sue Drew Peterson for wrongful death.
