A day after Drew Peterson was indicted for the murder of his third wife, his fourth wife,
Stacy Peterson, remains missing.
A special grand jury has been meeting for months to hear evidence in connection with both cases.
As CBS 2's Mike Puccinelli reports, Stacy Peterson has been missing for 18 months. And now sources say it looks more likely Peterson will be indicted for her disappearance as well.
Stacy Peterson's only sister, Cassandra Cales, was in court Friday when the former Bolingbrook cop turned accused killer entered the courtroom in shackles.
"It made me feel good to see him chained up like the dog that he is," Cales said.
Cales physically shuddered when she first saw Peterson in his prison jump suit. She then made sure to make eye contact with the man she always believed murdered 23-year-old Stacy.
"Just a good feeling went through my body," she said. "It made me feel good he was in custody and he's thinking about what he did."
And although Cales is pleased that Peterson is accused of murdering Savio, she says she won't rest until her sister's killer stands accused as well.
"I'll seek justice for my sister
it doesn't stop here," she said.
Sources close to the investigation say the probe into Stacy's disappearance is progressing and possibly could result in homicide indictments against Peterson in connection with her disappearance and presumed death.
Cales says she long ago accepted that her sister would never be coming home alive. But she says she won't accept her not being found.
"This ain't no closure," Cales said. "Closure is bringing my sister home and getting her the justice she deserves."
Sources also say three key players are likely to go before the special grand jury in the next couple of weeks. They are Len Wawczak, Paula Stark and Thomas Morphey.
Wawczak and Stark are former friends of Peterson's who wore wires and taped months of conversations with him. Those conversations pertained to both his third and fourth wives.
Morphey, Peterson's step-brother, is considered by some to be the lynchpin to the investigation. He believes unwittingly helped Peterson dispose of Stacy Peterson's body.
