YORKVILLE (CBS) ― Plainfield police investigating the disappearance of Lisa Stebic arrived at a state park in Kendall County, where searchers have found three bones after Stebic's family called them on the advice of a psychic.

It is not yet known if the bones are human bones, much less Stebic's. Authorities said Tuesday night that they are most likely animal bones, but the final confirmation has yet to be made by the Kendall County coroner.

CBS 2 West Suburban Bureau Chief Mike Puccinelli reports that friends and co-workers of Lisa Stebic recently hired a psychic to help them in their search for the Plainfield mother who has been missing for six weeks.

A family friend told CBS 2 Monday that the group hired the person over the weekend to check out Silver Springs State Park in Yorkville.

On Tuesday, that psychic called Kimberly Young, a colleague of Stebic's, and told her that she had a strong premonition that Lisa Stebic might be in that park. Stebic's friends believe Stebic's family often visited the park.

Stebic's friends called Kendall County Sheriff's police and Plainfield police to the park after they found three bones at the park, which is northwest of the Stebics' Plainfield home.

"We came out here because I received a phone call from the psychic saying she had very strong premonitions that Lisa was out here. She knew exactly where to look and we're just following that lead," Young said. "She said to look on the southeast side of the Fox River, go in about 50 to 100 feet and we should find her or some piece or part of her."

Evidence technicians then arrived and cordoned off the area so the bones could be processed.

Young says she realized the bones might be from any of many types of animals that live in the park, but hopes they're Lisa's. If they're not Lisa's, Young says they won't rest until they search all of the park's 1,300 acres.

Amer Zegar, another friend of Stebic's, said he was stunned when they actually found bones. "We were just walking through and I found some bones. We're not sure if they're Lisa's or not, but we're hoping they are," he said.

Asked what he thought when he found the bones, Zegar said, "My stomach dropped."
