Philly Cops Nab Suspected 'Foot-Fetish' Attacker

Philadelphia police said they have made an arrest in a series of attacks involving a suspect with a bizarre fetish.
In each attack, police said the suspect, identified as Richard Casey, approached his victims on foot and would display a weapon. He would first demand money and then sexually assault his victims, CBS station KYW-TV in Philadelphia reports.
Before fleeing the scene, Casey forced his victims to remove their shoes and either fondled or kissed their feet.
"He would rob these victims of any particular articles they had but more important, sexually assaulted these female victims in a very vicious way," Capt. John Darby said.
Police said the seven attacks occurred for more than a year in various Center City neighborhoods.
"We do have a confirmation, an absolute confirmation that this male is the male that we were seeking in those cases," Capt. Darby said.
Police said the 47-year-old Casey has nine prior arrests ranging from robbery to sexual assault.
Casey is currently serving time for a parole violation in a state correctional institution in upstate Pennsylvania. He is expected to be brought back to Philadelphia to face a long list of charges that include rape, attempted rape, robbery and aggravated assault.
