Woman Crashes Into N.E. Patriots Practice Facility

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (CBS) ― A Foxborough, Mass., woman was in police custody after she allegedly drove her car through a gate and onto the New England Patriots practice field Saturday.

Cheryl Richards, 41, faces a host of charges including malicious destruction of property and assault and battery on a police officer, reports CBS station WBZ-TV in Boston.

Police say Richards was denied entry to the team's facility moments before she allegedly drove through a gate, onto the team's indoor practice field.

No one was hurt. Richards is being held for observation at Norwood Hospital.

According to the Boston Herald, Richards claimed she had to see former Patriot linebacker Chris Slade.

A blood drive was being held inside the facility at the time of the crash, but Slade was not there.
