Vandals Give New Meaning To Church Festival
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
Some northwest suburban residents probably did a double-take this week after vandals spray-painted over a banner for church festival, giving it an entirely different spin.
According to a report from Rolling Meadows police, the pastor of Community Church at 2720 Kirchoff Rd. reported that sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning, vandals struck a banner outside the church.
In black paint on the Corn Fest banner, they sprayed over the "C" with a "P," so passers-by read "Porn Fest."
There was no damage estimate, police said.
