Yorkville Jewel-Osco Evacuated After Bomb Threat
No Explosives Found
YORKVILLE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A Jewel-Osco store in Yorkville was evacuated Wednesday morning following a bomb threat.
At about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Yorkville police were called to the store at 234 E. Veteran's Parkway (Route 34) in Yorkville when a note written in black marker was found on the toilet paper holder of the handicapped stall in the women's restroom.
The store was evacuated and searched by the Yorkville police explosives dog. No explosives were found and the store was reopened to the public, police said.
In April 2008, a bomb threat was found in the same store, also written in a stall in women's restroom.
