Woman, 40, Shot While Looking Outside House Window

COUNTRY CLUB HILLS, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― A 40-year-old woman peeping out her window to investigate a commotion outside was shot multiple times Sunday night.

Five shots were fired at her residence near 188th Street and Chestnut Avenue about 12 a.m., according to city spokeswoman Wanda Comein.

Two bullets struck the woman, one piercing her thigh and another hitting her hand, Comein said. She was taken to St. James Hospital and Health Centers in Olympia Fields with non life-threatening injuries.

Two people were being questioned about the shooting as of 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, the spokeswoman said.
