He's no Batman. An Evergreen Park man was arrested Monday afternoon for trying to sneak several weapons into the Daley Center court building by hiding them in his belt.
Jamie Busk, 38, was arrested and charged with unlawful storage of a weapon after he was stopped at a security checkpoint at the entrance near Randolph and Dearborn streets around 2 p.m. Monday, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office said Busk was stopped by a courthouse deputy after the deputy noticed several objects concealed in Busk's belt as it went through an X-ray machine.
Upon closer inspection, the deputy discovered a zipper had been built into the belt and several objects had been tucked into the pouch. Inside, the deputy found a pocket knife and handcuff keys. The belt buckle had also been fashioned into a small weapon.
Busk allegedly told the deputy he "wore the wrong belt today."
Busk was charged with unlawful storage of a weapon and was free on bond Tuesday.
