Man Run Over, Killed By Tow Truck On West Side

Autopsy Set For Later Friday For Danny Quizati

CHICAGO (CBS) ― Police are investigating an auto shop accident that left one person dead on the city's West Side.

Danny Quizati, 29, was run over by a tow truck just after 8 p.m. at 4555 W. North Ave., authorities said.

The incident happened about 8:15 p.m. Thursday, when Quizati was unloading a vehicle from his tow truck and the truck slipped into gear, striking and running over the drive, according to police.

Quizati, of 1416 E. 72nd Pl., was pronounced dead at 8:51 p.m. at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

No one answered the phone at U-Pull It, at the North Avenue address.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Friday.
