CHICAGO (CBS) ―
The American Cancer Society has released a survey that's sure to start many Chicago business owners fuming.
The society says most Chicagoans support a proposal to ban smoking in bars, restaurants and all indoor public places.
The survey found that 60 percent support the ban now before the City Council.
It also found 75 percent believe secondhand smoke is a serious health hazard.
And 60 percent say setting aside non-smoking sections is not enough.
Many restaurant owners oppose the ban, saying it would hurt their business.
