LINN, Wisc. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A Lake in the Hills man who was reported missing Monday evening was found dead Wednesday in a Wisconsin lake, authorities said.
Town of Linn, Wis. police said they received a report about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday of an abandoned vehicle at the Linn Pier boat launch. Further investigation indicated that the owner of the car, Arthur Staron, 42, of Lake in the Hills, had been reported missing and was believed to be depressed, police said.
About 1 p.m. Wednesday, rescue boat teams were dispatched to the Linn Pier area on Geneva Lake and began to search for Staron. At about 2 p.m., two fishermen discovered Staron's body about 50 feet off the end of the pier in 10 feet of water, a report said.
Police said they do not suspect foul play.
