CHICAGO (STNG) ― FBI agents are on the scene of a bank robbery in the Loop Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery occurred at the Omni National Bank branch, 55 W. Van Buren St., according to FBI spokeswoman Cynthia Yates. The robbery happened about 12:30 p.m. Agents were on the scene as of about 2:40 p.m., but no additional details were immediately available.

The suspect, according to unconfirmed reports, was described as a black male, between 6-feet and 6-foot-3, wearing dark glasses, a blue baseball cap, blue jeans, gloves, and a blue windbreaker. He fled east on Van Buren following the robbery, in which a weapon was implied, but not seen by anyone in the bank.
