Man Found Dead From Blunt Trauma In Uptown
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A man who was found dead Wednesday afternoon in his Uptown apartment died of blunt force trauma, according to an autopsy Thursday.
Abel Macedo, 23, was found dead in the 800 block of West Cuyler Avenue Wednesday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Town Hall District police discovered Macedo after responding to a well-being check at the Cuyler Avenue address Wednesday afternoon.
He was pronounced dead at 6:43 p.m. Wednesday on the scene, the medical examiner's office said.
An autopsy Thursday showed Macedo died of multiple blunt force trauma and his death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner's office said.
No one is in custody Thursday afternoon and a motive has not been determined, according to Belmont Area detectives, who are investigating.
