The answer is B. Fifty years ago, a Sears advertisement accidentally listed NORAD's phone number as a Santa Claus hotline. The director of operations accidentally received the call, realized what happened, and had his staff check to see if Santa was on his way out of the North Pole. He gave all the children who called an update and a tradition was born.
