(CBS) Which president pushed Thanksgiving back a week to make the holiday shopping season longer?
A. Franklin Delano Roosevelt
B. Lyndon Johnson
C. Harry Truman
D. Dwight D. Eisenhower

The answer is A. Before FDR, Thanksgiving was celebrated on Nov. 30. But in 1939, FDR declared that Thanksgiving would be made the fourth Thursday in November in an effort to move up the holiday and help out struggling retailers. The new day was made official in 1941.
