Gun Found In Hollowed-Out Book Meant For Prisoners
WESTVILLE, Ind. (Post-Tribune) ―
A gun was discovered Tuesday in a shipment of books bound for a northwest Indiana prison facility.
Officers at the Westville Correctional Facility at U.S. 6 and Route 2 confiscated a gun found in a hollowed-out book Tuesday during a routine inspection.
The gun was in a crate of books being brought to inmates by a teacher from Purdue University North Central.
The LaPorte County Prosecutor's office is investigating.
