Possible Fatality In Rollover On I-290

A rollover crash on the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) closed three lanes of traffic, and may be responsible for one death.

Illinois State Police are on the scene of a possibly fatal accident Monday evening on the Eisenhower Expressway on the Near West Side.
The rollover accident happened about 4:50 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Eisenhower (I-290) near Ashland Avenue, according to an ISP District Chicago trooper.
The trooper said one person was in "serious" condition and possibly had died in the crash. The trooper said the crash involved one vehicle.
ISP shut down three lanes in a "small area" near Ashland Avenue because of the crash, the trooper said.
A spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office had not been notified of a fatality as of 5:15 p.m.
The ISP Accident Reconstruction Team remains on the scene.
