Man Killed In West Side Drive-By Shooting

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― Police are looking for a light blue vehicle after man was killed Wednesday afternoon during a drive-by shooting in the West Side Garfield Park neighborhood.

Larry Redmond, 29, was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 3:53 p.m. Wednesday after being shot at 3841 W. Wilcox St., the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.

The shooting happened about 3:05 p.m., when a light blue, mid-size sedan approached the victim and someone inside fired shots, according to police. The car then fled east on Wilcox.

A motive in the shooting was not known, and no one was in custody as of 9 a.m. Thursday.

Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
