DuPage Man Charged With Child-Porn Possession
WHEATON, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A west suburban man faces child pornography charges following an undercover Internet sting operation conducted by Wheaton police.
Brian J. Baker, 19, of Carol Stream turned himself in to police about noon on Monday after police notified him that he was wanted for possession of child pornography, according to Wheaton police Chief Mark Field.
A search warrant of Baker's computer yielded "numerous" digital images of child porn, according to a release from police.
Baker posted $1,000 bail and was released Monday afternoon.
Field said the investigation was in conjunction with the Attorney General's office as part of a task force to combat digital sex offenders. If convicted, Baker faces jail time and must register as a sex offender.
His next court date was not immediately available.
