Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart said Thursday that as many as 300 bodies at the Alsip cemetery were dug up and dumped behind the graveyard as part of a scheme to resell burial plots. But on Friday, Dart said there may be even more bodies that were dumped.
The Burr Oak office manager, Carolyn Towns, also allegedly collected funds for an Emmett Till Historical Museum that never opened, and just pocketed the money for herself.
Anyone who donated money to the Emmett Till Historical Museum fund is also asked to call the number above.
