2 Hurt In Albany Park Stabbing
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
Two people were hospitalized -- one critically injured with a stab wound -- during an apparent fight in an Albany Park neighborhood alley Thursday morning.
Emergency crews responded at 4:44 a.m. to stabbing in the 4700 block of North St. Louis Avenue, according to police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak, who said one person was critically injured.
Fire Media Affairs Chief Kevin MacGregor said paramedics responded at 4:50 a.m. to a report of multiple battery victims in the alley and took two people to area hospitals.
One person was taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and the other was taken in good-to-fair condition to Swedish Covenant Hospital, according to MacGregor, who could not confirm they were stabbed.
Grand Central Area detectives are investigating and remained on the scene Thursday morning.
