Aurora Woman Who Went Missing Was Shot In Head
GENEVA, Ill. (AP) ―
Kane County authorities say autopsy results show that an Aurora woman whose body was found in December after she'd been missing for two months died of a gunshot wound to the head.
Forty-seven-year-old Marilyn Bethell's badly decomposed body was found in late December in a wooded area about two miles from her Aurora home.
She was last seen alive on October 30th when she left her job at a substance-abuse treatment center in Hoffman Estates.
A Kane County coroner's deputy testified at a coroner's inquest yesterday that Bethell had been shot in the head.
Severe decomposition previously had prevented officials from determining how she died.
Police say the investigation continues.
