Photos Enhanced To Help Search For Doctor's Killer

The family of a murdered Chicago doctor hopes new clearer photos will help catch his killer. As CBS 2's Joanie Lum reports, Dr. David Cornbleet's son is dedicated to seeking justice for his dad.
David Cornbleet worked on Michigan Avenue across from Millennium Park. He was killed in his office last fall, and his murder remains unsolved.
Jon Cornbleet paid to have 242 images enhanced, to sharpen the focus on a man who might know something about his father's murder.
"I think we bring facial shots that have never been opened up in the case," Cornbleet said.
The video enhancement did not significantly increase the visibility.
Last month, authorities released photographs of a man paying cash for an undisclosed item on Sept. 30, 2006 at a North Side Home Depot. That item was found in Cornbleet's office.
The enhanced version shows the man's face.
"I'm hoping someone recognizes him. Again he's not a suspect. Police want to talk to him regarding this purchase. There's a tie-in to what was found in his office," Cornbleet said.
Security video also shows Cornbleet's suspected killer both entering and leaving Cornbleet's office building.
There have been few leads in the case but Cornbleet believes his investment in this technology will pay off.
"I made a promise to my father. I haven't rested. I'm doing everything I can," he said.
Family members have offered a $25,000 reward and set up a MySpace page to gather tips. Meanwhile, police have put up flyers with images of the suspected killer in several neighborhoods. But so far, few leads have materialized.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the pictures should call Chicago Police.
