Many documents in the child sexual abuse case against the Rev.
Daniel McCormack are now sealed.
McCormack has pleaded not guilty to charges that he molested five boys at
St. Agatha's School on the
West Side and at churches where he worked.
A judge sealed hundreds of pages' worth of documents on Thursday in the case.
The
Illinois Department of Children and Family Services has been concerned about revealing sensitive information about the alleged victims.
The McCormack case has resulted in lawsuits against the
Chicago Archdiocese on the grounds that officials there failed to stop McCormack from harming children.
Francis Cardinal George has conceded that the Archdiocese did not take action soon enough against McCormack.
