Naperville 'American Idol' To Wed New Year's Eve

NAPERVILLE, Ill. (AP) ― "American Idol" finalist Gina Glocksen will truly be ringing in the new year.

The Naperville resident plans to marry science teacher Joe Ruzicka in her hometown on New Year's Eve.

Glocksen was a Top 12 finalist before she was voted off the show in April 2007.

The wedding plans include a few "American Idol" touches. A hairdresser from the show will style the bride's hair. The bridal party will arrive at the church on a tour bus. And "Idol" winner Jordin Sparks and finalist Haley Scarnato are to be bridesmaids.

The groom teaches at Neuqua Valley High School. The two met when she auditioned to sing with his band, which will play for the reception.
