Football fans are setting up at home for the gridiron battle. The big buffet aside, one thing can make a big difference when watching the big game: a big TV.
This year, millions of fans are rushing out to get a brand new set. As CBS 2's Dorothy Tucker reports, it's all about the high definition.
If you were in an electronics store Friday, there's a good chance you were shopping for one thing.
Two and a half million people are expected to buy a TV in time for the Super Bowl and everybody wants to watch the game in high definition.
"You can see the tattoo, you can see him sweating, you can see the blade of grass. It's like you're there," said Terrell Purdis, who was shopping for a new television Friday.
But if you want your TV to take you there, you've got to have the right equipment.
An HD cable box would do the trick. If don't have the box yet, it's too late to order it, but not too late to get it.
"You can pick the box up and do your own installing," said Mark Allen, a vice president at Comcast.
Comcast has a warehouse full of boxes and customer centers ready to rent boxes for $9.99 a month.
"It's pretty simple and it should take you no longer than 10 minutes," he said.
Then, sit back and get ready to watch the game.
If you don't have cable, there are some store clerks who will tell you can buy in indoor antenna and hook it up to your HD-ready television.
But according to our engineers, an indoor antenna is not the best solution.
What you really need is an outdoor antenna, a cable box or home satellite dish.
