CHICAGO (AP) ― Twenty-one-years after they were in the midst of a Super Bowl battle, three members of the 1985 Chicago Bears met in a downtown restaurant to watch the 2006 version of the team take the field.

Quarterback Jim McMahon, linebacker Jim Morrissey and tackle Keith Van Horne sat signing autographs and watching the Bears-Indianapolis Colts game along with the crowd Sunday night at Harry Caray's Restaurant.

Tackle Chris Zorich, who played with the Bears during the 1990s, also attended the party.

Van Horne, who was wearing his Super Bowl ring, said it was fun to be among the fans.

"It's wonderful," he said. "It gives us the perspective on what it was like when we were playing. It's exciting to be a part of it."

He and McMahon addressed the crowd just before halftime, when the Bears trailed the Colts 16-14.

"Now they're in a little trouble, who knows what's going to happen?" McMahon said, who last week said he didn't care who won the game and wouldn't watch it. "Hopefully they'll pull through."

While the crowd was jubilant as Devin Hester returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in the game's first play, it was equally somber as the Indianapolis Colts scored their first points.

"Almost had them, too," Morrissey said to the big-screen TV. "Something happened there."

Sitting alongside Zorich on a leather sofa, Morrissey reminisced about the long road between the playoffs and the Super Bowl.

"The two weeks leading up to the game are very emotional," he said. "You gotta have a coach keeping everyone even keeled."

"So far, so good," said Morrissey.
