Injured Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo does not expect to play this Sunday when the Cowboys host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
During a radio broadcast Tuesday night, the star said his broken pinkie again will likely mean backup quarterback Brad Johnson will start the game.
Romo said he pressed the coaching staff and trainers last week to let him play against the Rams.
It was ultimately decided that the quarterback would be sidelined because of the broken pinkie on this throwing hand, which he injured during the first play of overtime in the team's 30-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 12.
Romo said if the Cowboys training staff could find a way to protect the broken pinkie --- but still allow him to successfully throw the football -- he could play against the Bucs.
Romo was a guest on "Inside the Huddle," a weekly radio talk show hosted by fellow Cowboys players Terrell Owens and Sam Hurd and CBS station KTVT-TV in Dallas' Steve Dennis.
