Bulls Name 3 Assistant Coaches

CHICAGO (AP) ― First-year Chicago Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro will have plenty of experienced help this season.

The Bulls today hired Del Harris, Bernie Bickerstaff and Bob Ociepka as assistants. Del Negro will also retain Pete Myers as an assistant coach.

Harris comes to the Bulls after spending the last eight years with the Dallas Mavericks, the final one as a team consultant.

Bickerstaff spent last season as the executive vice president of basketball operations for the Charlotte Bobcats and also served as that team's head coach and general manager.

Ociepka has 19 years experience as an NBA assistant, including the last two with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

And Myers is a former Bulls player who'll be in his eighth season as an assistant and has also scouted for Chicago.
