Airport Employees To Get New Security Badges
CHICAGO (CBS) ―
A problem exposed by the 2 Investigators may soon be corrected. On Wednesday, city officials announced plans to require all 40,000 airport employees to have biometric security badges.
It's essentially a machine that registers their thumb prints. The goal is to keep employees from entering in groups to avoid going through security and ensure no one uses someone else's ID badge.
The security change comes in the wake of a series of reports by the CBS 2 Investigators, "Fly At Your Own Risk."
