Bush Orders U.S. Troop Buildup In Iraq

President George W. Bush ordered 21,500 more troops into Iraq to quell the country's near anarchic wave of sectarian violence. He also acknowleged for the first time he erred by failing to order a military buildup in Iraq in 2006.
