Escaping -- to the movies. "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" opens in a really big way. The Dreamworks animated sequel brings in more than 63 million dollars this weekend. That's better than the holiday weekend opening of the original. The comedy "Role Models" opens in second. "High School Musical 3" drops to third this weekend. The late Bernie Mac, who died in August, is a presence being felt in two new movies. Mac provides the voice of Zuba the fatherly lion in Madagascar 2. He also stars in the comedy "Soul Men," along with Samuel L. Jackson. Soul Men opens at number-six this weekend.
