Obscure Eating Contests

Almost everybody has heard of the annual Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest held every July 4th, but did you know an organization called Major League Eating keeps track of dozens of Competitive Eating records? *All records are as of June 2008.

HOT DOGS On July 4, 2007 American Joey Chestnut (left) unseeded reigning champion Takeru Kobayashi of Japan (right) and set a new hot dog eating record. Chestnut ate 66 'Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs' and buns in 12 minutes.
