Severe Weather Slams Chicagoland

A strong storm swept through Chicagoland Thursday afternoon. Tornado sirens were sounded all over the city and suburbs, and winds swept patio furniture, roof tiles and tree branches through the air.

It's not just big rivers that are overflowing their banks. This is Hickory Creek in southwest suburban Frankfort. Homes there are sitting in a sea of water. Roads are also covered and no traffic is moving in or out.
