Dorothy Tucker and Vince Gerasole: 'It's a Wonderful Life'Dorothy: My favorite movie is "A Wonderful Life". The tale of what the world would be like without any of our loved ones touches my heart. It also reminds me of curling in bed with my mom and watching it every holiday season when I was a little girl. And I have to admit the movie played an integral part in my decision to marry my husband of 18 years. We met a couple of months before Christmas and when he suggested that one night we stay in and watch "A Wonderful Life" because it was his favorite movie, I knew I had found my soul mate. We now have three children and watching the movie is our favorite Christmas tradition.
Vince: Yes it's a cliché choice, but there's a reason a classic is a classic.
It doesn't matter that I know Zuzu will lose her pedals, that Mary and George unknowingly Charleston into the pool, or that nice Nick Martini will throw Clarence and George out of his bar and into the bitter cold. Every time the town of Bedford Falls shows up at George Bailey's door to bail him out from old man Potter, I ask my wife to pass the Kleenex. I'm tearing up now just writing this.
The message that no man is a failure who has friends, or that each man's life touches so many others makes you want to say, "Merry Christmas you wonderful old Building and Loan," all year long.
