Former Bulls Star, Gold Medalist To Appear In TV Ads
Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympics is getting a boost from Bulls legend Michael Jordan.
Starting Wednesday, Jordan is appearing in a public service campaign airing on Chicago-area TV stations.
Jordan played for the U.S. team that won gold at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
A second video in the campaign features Paralympian runner April Holmes, who won a gold medal during the Beijing Olympics last summer.
Other athletes will star in public service announcements that will be released in the next few months.
The International Olympic Committee is scheduled to pick a host city on Oct. 2.
Chicago is competing against Tokyo, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro.
