Ex-Gary Police Chief Found Guilty Of Only 1 Count

HAMMOND, Ind. (Post-Tribune) ― The federal civil right trial of the former Gary police chief and two of his top aides ended with former Chief Thomas Houston being convicted of only one of eight counts.

Co-defendants Sgt. Thomas Branson and Sgt. Thomas Decanter were found not guilty of all charges stemming from the 2007.
