Lake Forest Man In Federal Custody Following Raid

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (STNG) ― A north suburban man is in federal custody following a Thursday morning raid that led to the seizure of several guns in his northwest suburban home.

U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents and Illinois State Police troopers executed a search warrant about 10:30 a.m. Thursday at 1991 Telegraph Rd. in Lake Forest, according to Illinois State Police District Chicago Master Sgt. Luis Gutierrez. See the house from a Google satellite image.

"A subject was detained based on that search warrant," Gutierrez said.

Gutierrez said the investigation is ongoing and he could not provide further details as to what federal agents and police found at the home.

The suspect was in federal custody and his name was not released, he said.
