Former Suburban Judge Faces Trial In DUI Case

Judge Ruled Police Acted Properly In Pulling Over Judge David M. Hall

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (Lake County News-Sun) ― Former Lake County Chief Judge David M. Hall will have evidence of his DUI arrest presented at trial after a judge decided Wednesday that police acted properly in pulling him over in unincorporated Lake County months ago.

Sixteenth Circuit Justice F. Keith Brown, who is handling the case in Kane County, denied Hall's motion to quash the arrest by Vernon Hills police near the intersection of Route 60 and Route 21 on April 26.

Hall, 55, is charged with DUI and resisting arrest in connection with the incident. He allegedly had been driving erratically, smelled of alcohol and was physically combative with officers during the arrest.

His trial has tentatively been set for Nov. 10 in Lake County. Judge Brown still will be presiding at that point.
