Tibet Exiles Scale Walls Of U.N. In Nepal

KATMANDU, Nepal (AP) ― About 18 protesting Tibetan exiles have scaled the walls of the United Nations compound in the Nepalese capital.

Police arrested another 40 Tibetans who were protesting outside the building Friday. The protesters inside the U.N. compound have not yet been detained.

Nepal has been under criticism for not allowing the Tibetans to peacefully protest. Nepalese officials say they cannot allow any activities against friendly nations, including China.
