Calif. Woman Fatally Shot, Husband Beaten

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS) ― Fresno police have surrounded a shooting suspect after a woman was found shot dead in her home and her husband severely beaten.

Investigators have blocked off a large area around an apartment complex. They describe the suspect as a 28-year-old Asian male who is heavily armed and 'extremely dangerous'.

Authorities found the husband in the garage Wednesday evening, CBS station KOVR-TV reported. Sacramento police were called to the victim's home after neighbors found a 60-year-old woman bleeding from her head. The couple's car had been stolen.

Investigators say the suspect knew the victims but was not related.
