The government has cleared out the homemade bombs and booby traps and seized the New Hampshire compound that once belonged to tax evaders Ed and Elaine Brown.
U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier says it took nearly two weeks for explosives teams to find, remove and blow up a large number of homemade bombs.
The Browns were arrested earlier this month after they welcomed federal agents, pretending to be supporters, to their secluded home.
The house has 8-inch concrete walls and a turret that offers a 360-degree view of the 110-acre property. The compound is self-sufficient and is capable of running entirely through solar, wind and geothermal energies.
Monier said the property and Elaine Brown's former dental office in nearby Lebanon are in the hands of the federal Treasury Department.
The properties may be sold to cover the Browns' unpaid federal income taxes and other liabilities, including local property tax.
