3 Teens Shot On Northwest Side
CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that left three people, reportedly teens, wounded Sunday night on the Northwest Side.
Three people were shot in the 4000 block of North Albany Avenue about 7:30 p.m. All three were hospitalized in an unidentified condition, but none of the injuries are believed to be life threatening. At least one of the victims was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police News Affairs Officer David Banks said.
A source said all three victims were teenagers, two of whom were 14 and 16-years-old, and that they were shot near a Walgreen's parking lot.
The shooting was possibly a gang-related drive by.
No one was in custody as of 12:45 a.m. Monday, according to Banks.
Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
