2 Sought In Stabbing In Naperville
NAPERVILLE, Ill. (Naperville Sun) ―
Naperville police at this hour are continuing their hunt for two people believed to be involved in a stabbing on a residential street on the city's far south side.
Police Cmdr. Joel Truemper confirmed a stabbing victim was undergoing treatment in the emergency room at Edward Hospital in Naperville. The incident occurred about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday on the street on the 1300 block of Keats Avenue in the Ashbury neighborhood.
"We have a victim of a stabbing" at the hospital, Truemper said. "I don't have an age, race or sex of that individual. Detectives are there now" waiting to interview the subject, he said.
Truemper would not comment on the severity of the victim's wound.
Police are seeking two people for questioning, Truemper said. A perimeter of police cars and officers has been established in the area, and at least two specially trained police dogs are assisting officers in their search for the suspects, he said.
Three police cars could be seen at various locations along 104th Street between Book and Plainfield-Naperville roads immediately following the incident.
