Woman Found Strangled In Blue Island Alley
BLUE ISLAND, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) ―
A woman died early Thursday after she was strangled to death in south suburban Blue Island.
An unidentified woman in her 30s was found in an alley at 12950 S. California Ave. in Blue Island and pronounced dead on the scene at 6 a.m., a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
An autopsy determined the woman died from strangulation, and her death was ruled a homicide, the medical examiner's office said.
A Blue Island firefighter confirmed that the department responded to the scene sometime overnight Thursday, but would not provide further details.
Blue Island police would not comment on the slaying Thursday afternoon.
