Woman Found Dead In North Side Motel Room

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) ― Chicago Police are conducting a death investigation after a woman was found dead in a motel room in the North Side Edgewater neighborhood.

A woman in her 40s was found unresponsive about 12:40 p.m. Tuesday in a motel room in the 900 block of West Foster Avenue, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.

According to an online directory the motel is named the Chicago Lodge.
The woman, whose body was found decomposed at 920 W. Foster Ave., remains unidentified, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. She was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:55 p.m.

An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday.
