Woman Found Dead In South Side Motel
CHICAGO (STNG) ―
Police are conducting a death investigation after a woman in her 40s was found unresponsive in a South Side motel Thursday morning.
An unidentified woman in her 40s was pronounced dead at the Stein Institute at 2:45 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.
Police found the woman unresponsive at 6535 S. King Dr. about 11:30 a.m., Grand Crossing District Capt. Kenneth Johnson said.
The Best Motel is listed at the address, according to an online directory.
The woman's body was discovered by motel employees, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.
Mirabelli said police are conducting a death investigation and are awaiting the results of the woman's autopsy, scheduled for Friday.
Belmont Area detectives are investigating.
