Tanker Truck Flips, Prompts Hazmat In Will County
27 Hazardous Materials Teams Respond
CRETE, Ill. (CBS) ―
A tanker truck flipped, prompting more than two dozen emergency response teams to respond near south suburban Crete in Will County early Monday.
It is unknown what the tanker truck carried, but the Crete Township Fire
Protection District confirmed 27 Hazardous Materials teams have responded.
Dispatch reports indicate the crash happened around 12:50 a.m.
Monday morning on the Calumet Expressway (I-394) and East Exchange Street.
Will County Sheriff's Department could not be reached.
As of the 5 a.m. hour, Shadow Traffic reports indicated the situation was under control.
